I loved passionately, your touch, your soul, your presence
I do not know what was real and true
And when did you die
As I knew you

Green dress showing shoulder, first encounter, first kiss
Water, horses, heat
Summer essence
I missed your presence when you left, loneliness submerged
and the hope of a future erased

Montana, ten thousand acres
A galloping wild roan mare
Sage, mountains, land I've held in wildest dreams aware
Amazing, the start of love, you care

Describe my time with you
Peaceful, wonderful, trusting, carefree, me became us
Laughing until tears spilled and hope, anticipation
Dreaming, every passion for you wished
Free spirit blending with the wind in direction

Perfection unobtainable
But I accept and embrace your imperfections
It meant you were next to me, in my life
To build time and memories with

Your ghost lives on in backlit visions
Your shadow beside me, it's indentation
At night, in the pillow, your breath
softly, silently still in my ear: Whispering

But now I do not know what was true
What was a lie, when did everything change for you
How could you leave in losing identity
When identity is what you have forever
It's in your heart, your soul and that is what I loved

You are there, identity is not lost
But I am changed forever and a different fate awaits
I loved as I never have, unbearable hurt
My silent unanswered question: do you feel at all.
